Privacy Policy

Last updated 22 September 2026

The short version

  • You can read every topic, track and map on this site without giving us anything. No account, no email.
  • We ask for one thing, once: your email address, at the end of the career assessment, if you want your results sent to you.
  • When you give it, we store your assessment answers alongside it so the follow-up emails are about your actual gaps rather than generic.
  • We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
  • Email privacy@edukastai.com and we will delete everything we hold about you.

1. Who we are

Edukast AI (“we”, “us”) operates edukastai.com. For data protection purposes the controller is LEGAL ENTITY NAME, registered at REGISTERED ADDRESS (COMPANY NUMBER).

Questions, requests and complaints: privacy@edukastai.com.

2. What we collect, and when

Most of this site collects nothing. The table below is exhaustive — if something is not listed here, we are not collecting it.

WhatWhenWhyKept

We do not collect: your name, phone number, postal address, payment details, CV, employer, or date of birth. There are no user accounts and no passwords, so there is nothing of that kind to lose.

3. What stays in your browser

Several things are stored in your browser’s local storage and never sent to us. They are not cookies, they are not shared across devices, and clearing your browser data removes them.

KeyWhat it holds
edukast.home.themeWhether you chose the light or dark theme
edukast.progress.v1Topics you have ticked off on the learning map
edukast.course.v1Your answers and scores on practice tests
edukast-assessment-v1Your in-progress assessment answers, so a refresh does not lose them
edukast-lead-source-v1Which link brought you to the site
edukast.consent.v1Whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies

4. Analytics

Vercel Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless. It does not use a persistent identifier and does not track you across sites. It tells us page counts and which buttons are pressed, in aggregate.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, which does set cookies and processes data on Google’s infrastructure as our processor. It is off until you accept it. The script is not loaded, and no cookie is set, unless you press Accept on the banner — declining is a single press and costs you nothing on the site.

Your choice is stored in your browser under edukast.consent.v1. To change it, clear your browser data for this site and the banner will ask again.

5. Who else sees your data

We use a small number of processors. None of them are advertisers, and none receive your data to use for their own purposes.

We will disclose data if we are legally required to. We will not sell it, and we will not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

6. International transfers

Your email address and assessment results are stored in Mumbai, India, and the site is served from there too. Our email provider and our analytics providers operate in the United States, so data sent to them is processed there. Where required, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard. Confirm the mechanism each processor relies on.

7. Our legal basis (UK and EU visitors)

8. Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of what we hold, correct it, delete it, export it, or stop using it. Email privacy@edukastai.com. We will respond within 30 days and we will not ask you to justify the request.

Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops the emails; replying to ask for deletion removes the record entirely.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to your data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office.

9. Children

This site is aimed at people making career decisions and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us an email address, tell us and we will remove it.

10. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS. We hold no passwords and no payment details, which removes the two things most worth stealing. The database is reachable only by our own server code: its public data interface is switched off and the browser never talks to it directly. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.

11. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use data you have already given us, we will email you before it takes effect.

Note for the site owner. This is an accurate description of what the code currently does, but it is not legal advice and has not been reviewed by a solicitor. The highlighted items must be filled in, and the consent banner in section 4 must exist, before this is relied on.
